About Lesley

The picture on the right shows Lesley in her Studio during an Oxfordshire  ‘Art Weeks’

She is open in the 2015 Art Weeks from Saturday May 2nd until Saturday May 9th., from 12 noon until 6pm on each of these days.

She is joined by Anna Lever (who makes Ceramic Sculptures) and by Frances Williams (who designs Contemporary Batiks).

Lesley often puts on a special selling exhibition at the end of November

Photos of such an event are below.

Lesley has been making and studying Pottery for over forty years, firstly under Percy Braisby at Cheltenham and then in Oxfordshire.

After completing a Teaching Diploma she was Pottery Tutor at Sunningwell School of Art for twenty years.  Lesley has exhibited extensively and made the mediaeval facsimiles for ‘The Oxford Story’.

Lesley also made the teaching video ‘The Complete Potter’ and has taken part in craft fairs and solo exhibitions all over the country.

Large frost-proof garden pots, domestic stoneware and table lamps have been her main output, but she has also made water features and smoke-fired pots.

Much work is inspired by the Sea, seeking to catch through layers of glaze the ever changing patterns and depths.

Lesley is an Associate Member of the Craftsmen Potters Association.
